Rotary Donates $1,000 for Bob Perry Film Restoration

On March 20, 2014, the Killington-Pico Rotary Club donated $1,000 to the Bob Perry Film Restoration Project at the Sherburne Memorial Library. The donation was made in memory of Ken Keim, a charter member of the Rotary Club who passed away on September 20, 2013.  Ken was an avid historian who had an interest in preserving Bob Perry's 16 mm films of the Killington ski area; Ken felt strongly that Bob's films and photos were an integral documentation of Killington's history.   Bob Perry's films had been donated to the Sherburne Memorial Library, and two films "North Country Lady" and "Freestyle Aerials and Ballet" have already been digitized and are available as DVDs.  Attendees at the check presentation were from left to right: Paul Holmes, Rotary President Janina Curtis, Library Director Jane Napier, Sally Curtis,  John Brennan, Red Glaze and Pat Keim.
