Grants now available to help with Irene damage and repairs

IF YOU ARE A PRIMARY HOMEOWNER OR RENTER WHO HAS BEEN IMPACTED BY TROPICAL STORM IRENE THROUGH PROPERTY DAMAGE OR DISPLACEMENT, YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR ASSISTANCE THROUGH A NEW ROTARY-FUNDED PROGRAM OFFERED BY YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY!

Examples of  Irene-related assistance that may be provided could include:

Short-term rent
Fuel & Utility Assistance
Furnace repair or replacement
Appliance repair & replacement
Mold Abatement & Remediation 
Well /Septic System Repairs
Waste/ Debris Removal
Transportation Assistance and
Service Road & Culvert Repairs.
 
Funds may not be used for: 
Assisting Rotary Club members or members of their immediate family
Repairs / construction in or on a home
Non-VT residents or 2nd home owners
Businesses, public facilities, or other non-residential buildings
Purchase of land or buildings
Fixing conditions not caused by Irene
