Taylor Glaze brought the Forest Moon director, Richard Ewald, to Killington to discuss their work with cancer survivors and promote a free retreat for breast cancer survivors to be held in Killington, July 21-22, 2012. The organization's mission at Forest Moon is to develop and deliver free support programs to meet the critical unmet emotional and spiritual needs of those living with cancer.  Interactive programs in caring, safe and comfortable settings introduce therapeutic activities and foster group learning and revelation.  Forest Moon’s goals are to reduce the anxiety burdening the cancer community and to cultivate within each individual a greater sense of control, enhanced well-being and renewed purpose.

The 1:8 Torso Project retreat coming to Killington uses torso casting to help women explore and come to terms with the body changes wrought in response to cancer.
